It was in the month April this year in 2010 when Kanamara Matsuri festival was held with great pomp and cheers at Kawasaki in Japan. The 43rd annual New York Labor day carnival, which is the biggest cultural festivals of the New York City, will be held from 2nd to 6th Sept, 2010. It is a West Indian carnival festival. Some of the events which will be held are – the Benefit concert for Haiti will be held on 2nd Sept. It’s a great music show.

On 6th Sept, there will be carnival where there will be a parade of bands from 11 am to 6 pm. The parade will start from Eastern Parkway and end on Flatbush Avenue. The main features will be costume bands, masqueraders and also moko jumbies, floats and much more. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the parade.
