Carnival is a time of real celebration and fun making for all those who are present in there in person and for even all those spectators who are just watching it from far. With so many carnival celebrations taking place now, the one that is known for its festivity, fun, celebration and grandness is the “Dominica Carnival”, which is going to be celebrated on the 23rd and 24th of February 2010.
The festivity and celebration kicking off from January itself, there will be great events like Calypso Monarch, Band Splash, and many beauty contests that will truly add perfection to the color, celebration and vibrant environment of the carnival in Dominica.
Dating back its roots to 1950s when it was actually celebrated for the first time, this is a time that brings together not just the locals but even the tourist from all over the country. The carnival bringing together the African and French traditions is also called as Mas Domnik for being the most original of all carnivals celebrated in the Caribbean. The two weeks of festivities is adorned with everything from amazing costumes to rocking music to great competitions, to make everyone present get a grand experience with fun and entertainment at the fullest.
