Carnaval 2010- World Carnival Dates, Schedules and Information

The carnival at the wondrous islands of Trinidad and Tobago is an important part of the cultural aspect of the life in this part of the world. The carnival for 2010 is scheduled for February 15^th and February 16^th and will be the event that everyone on the island has been waiting for in anticipation. The carnival is a perfect mix of the most elaborate and beautiful costumes and some of the best soca and calypso tunes.  With its roots, deep in history the Trinidad and Tobago carnival has maintained its flavor and festive spirit right in the present era.

The carnival features a lot of competitions including the Calypso Monarch which is one of the main musical contestants and is also one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the colorful extravaganza. The queen and king of bands are also an integral part of this carnival and are elected from a competition which involves a massive display of the most colorful and beautifully adorned costumes.  The Carnival Road March and the Steel Band Panorama are the other integral part of the Trinidad and Tobago carnival. Stick-fighting and limbo competitions add more zing to this massive celebration which attracts millions of carnival fans from all over the world.
