Cannes Film festival from 12th May to 23rd May

Cannes film festival has gone around 64 years old and took place for the first time in 1946. This festival is one of the oldest and also the esteemed film festival. This city is located in France and because of this festival; France is also being counted among the nations having worth seeing.
This year, 63rd edition of this festival is going to take place from 12th May which will be lasted at 23rd May. This festival has been judged by some prominent personalities and celebrities across the world. This year, the head of the judge’s group of this festival will be an American Film director Tim Burton.
As per the tradition that has been consistent for the past years, this film festival is structured in number of sections. The first one is the official selection which is comprised of number of events like Short films, special screenings, Cinefondation etc. In this Cinefondation part, numbers of short movies of small or mediocre length are presented from different schools across the world.
Parallel section is also the significant part of this festival which comprised of some non-competitive events and is all about the innovations dedicated to the world cinema. Also some other sections are there, which includes international’s critic’s week and director’s fortnight. Some master classes and tributes are also conducted as a formality in the endings and also some exhibitions are conducted.
