WOW Festival

The Wigan One World Festival (WOW) celebrated in Wigan Borough is a colorful mix of dance, music and drama depicting cultural diversity in which more than thirty groups representing more than twenty countries give mesmerizing performances ranging from lip hop, flameco dance to gospel music and drum orchestras.
This family event is organized by the Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust at the Mesnes Park where people are urged to join the fun and frolic on Sunday Summer. There are number of sporting activities also such as rugby, free football, net ball and number of multi skills for the young people. The people of different races and cultures get a chance to view the different community stalls on sote, unite and interact with each other at one place, enjoy the picnic, do a dance or just chill out and enjoy the unique experience.
The festivals highlight is the colorful carnival of the parade around the park comprising of the performers as well as the people wanting to join in.

The wonderful event of WOW also conveys an important message of Kick Racision and lots of prizes including T-Shirts, tickets, hampers and signed memorabilia are given away as Kick Racism prizes.
It should also be noted that the alcohal bar of Wigan tour centre is also applied at Mesnes Park in the WOW festival. There is free parking on Sunday around Tour Centre. Thus, this wonderful and spectacular event WOW familiarizes all over.
