The Annual International Caribbean Festival and Parade will be held on 14 and 15 August, 2010 at the Hart Plaza in Detroit. One can experience and hear great music of the Caribbean. This festival is organized by a non-profit institution CCCO – The Caribbean Cultural and Carnival Organization.

The masquerade party was held on August 7, 2010 at Cultural Art Center. It was hosted by the Carnival Parade Committee. The tickets purchased for the masquerade party help to raise money for the parade. Everyone wore a mask for the feel of the carnival spirit.

The spectacular Parade will start at 11 AM on August 14 from Woodward Ave and Mack and will move south towards Hart Plaza. The main events which will be held on 14th are DJ music and Carnival Parade. The Parade will feature fabulous costumes. There will be great music such as Millennium Steel Band, La Inspiracion, Roots Vibration and local acts with it. On 15th, the Sunday, there will be again music shows – DJ Music, Dance, La Trinity, Universal Xpression. Apart from music- Soca, Calypso and Reggae, there will be authentic Caribbean food as well as entertainment all day long. The two day long festival will be a great fun for family. The gifts in finance and support and donations of the people contribute to the festival and the parade.
