Weekends are about having fun and what better way to spend the time than to have some raw fun with the grand Labor Day parade. The Labor Day in New York is undoubtedly the biggest cultural extravaganza of the city and the excitement just gets bigger each year. The Labor Day festivities for 2010 will commence with the Benefit for Haiti concert on September 2, that will feature Kevin Little and Wyclef among other artists. The event will be a way through which the victims of Haiti can be helped and remembered. September 3 would witness The Brass fest where noted artists would come together and produce some rocking performances.
The 43rd version of this Annual West Indian American Carnival only promises to be bigger with some exotic Caribbean dishes, colorful parades and out of the world Caribbean bands. The young will also get the chance to rock the streets of Brooklyn with the Children’s carnival on September 4. The Kambule Calypso on September 5 would see a fierce battle for the carnival kings and queens. The biggest attraction of the Labor Day 2010 would certainly be the grand Street Parade on the Parkway. New York transforms into a partying Caribbean land during the Labor Day and this is very much visible from the scenes that greet all.
