Well, if you are willing to join the huge and pompous gathering of the carnival, you should be aware of the etiquettes and other information. Whenever you try to go in public, keep yourself aloof of the pickpockets and you should also keep only some changes for drinks. It also simply means you should not wear any costly things or jewelry like necklaces & watches. Millions of people throng the band marching on the streets and you should not go in the crowds otherwise, you will be deaf. So, just maintain a short distance. It is not always suggested to walk along with the parades and street marches.

There are a number of South-Side bands that perform in the afternoon and start programs after 4 in the evening. Since children and aged people also join the exclusive gathering, you can enjoy with your family. To look more traditional and colored, you can buy some T-shirts that are more official o the Bandas which may cost you just $10 on the sales. Since these items are sold only in the Carnival days, you will certainly not want to miss the opportunity. Also, the streets will be full of colorful vendors thus; get prepared to stay at safe shelters in case of damage.
