Rio carnival to have its youngest carnival queen in the upcoming celebrations

Rio carnival has always managed to create a stir among all with the amazing floats and the wonderful samba performances. But the Rio carnival 2010 will hold a surprise for all those who make it the Sambodromo. Julia Lira all of seven will be the youngest carnival queen to adorn the Rio carnival and though there have been many appeals this child will be a part of this annual celebration. The carnival queens are normally chosen among the best and the most beautiful samba dancers who add more glitz to the carnival in the skimpy costumes but this year would be different.

Julia will be heading the Viradouro Samba Parade and is supported by her parents. An appeal by the children association has been ruled out by the court and this will make sure that Julia entertains all during the 80 minute long carnival parade. Rio carnival ha always been the best place for all to come and engulf in the true carnival celebrations and this year would be no different. Controversies only add more spice to this juicy carnival which attracts millions from across the globe who plans their visit months in advance. Carnivals are the best place to mix with the locals and Rio carnival provides the best opportunity for this and also to be part of the Brazilian culture.
