The Cape Town Carnival more of a community project initiated to bring the diverse communities together is a weekend full of fun, pleasure, enjoyment which people can drench them into through the music, dance and cultural expression moreover.
A “celebration of diversity”, this year the Cape Town Carnival will be celebrated from the 18-20 March 2010. Held once every year on the third weekend of March, this is a fun experience for not just the Capetonians but also the visitors and tourists who come here from all over.
The finest of all Carnival celebration on the planet, this is a way of harnessing diversity and commitment to the soil where the Capetonians sustain their lives.
A rich tapestry of dance styles, music genres and a cultural and traditional event rich in diversity is what the Cape Town Carnival is all about.
The theme of this year’s Carnival is “Rhythm, Roots & Boots”, and the event is sure to broadcast the best of Cape Town.
The Grand Carnival Ball, Themed Balls, Competitions, is sure to showcase a swirling mass of color, art and creativity at one place. With beautiful costumes, amazing performances, all at the carnival are sure to experience fun, enjoyment and merry making full ON!
