Cape Town joins in the carnival fever with its inaugural show

Carnival is the best way to bring all from different strata of the society to celebrate as one and Cape Town is joining in the celebration with its inaugural carnival from March 18 to march 20, 2010. Cape Town is undisputedly one of the favorite destinations of many owing to its being a heavenly natural abode and with the upcoming carnival the city attempts to try something unique and new. The carnival aims at bringing all the different communities to celebrate as one and also let the world witness the unity which lies in the vast diversity.

Rhythm, roots and boots has been rightly chosen as the theme for the 2010 carnival and signifies the inherent talents that the world would witness through dance, songs and colorful parades as also it marks a special tribute to the rich heritage. March 18 2010, would witness a star studded carnival fashion show which will have hot models displaying some of the best designer works in the country. Themed carnival balls and a youthful street party are lined up for March 19 followed by a carnival parade competition on March 20. The carnival in Cape Town will in all sense be a unique representative of the cultural, psychographic and demographic aspects of South Africa.

The Cape Town Carnival more of a community project initiated to bring the diverse communities together is a weekend full of fun, pleasure, enjoyment which people can drench them into through the music, dance and cultural expression moreover.

A “celebration of diversity”, this year the Cape Town Carnival will be celebrated from the 18-20 March 2010. Held once every year on the third weekend of March, this is a fun experience for not just the Capetonians but also the visitors and tourists who come here from all over.
