Notting hill carnival 2010- delivers outstanding enjoyment despite rain
Notting hill carnival has always been the hub for people from all over the world who want to have some a real fun time. This year’s carnival was a great affair and all the rains could not dampen the spirit of the revelers who just wanted to have a blast. The Bank holiday was well enjoyed and august 29th –the first day of the carnival witnessed colorful dancers along the three and a half mile stretch. The first day which is specially marked as a children’s carnival saw them enjoying the festivities with egg fight, flour and the customary paint.

The perfect summer celebration makes Notting hills appear like a Caribbean island which is full of the ethnic culture. The second day of the carnival August 30 brought sunshine which roped in more excitement and a promise of an electrifying day which was fulfilled to every aspect. The aroma of the carnival staples- saltfish, jerk chicken and ackee brought many to the stalls to enjoy the chicken and the beer.
The 40 independent sound systems made sure that very nook and corner was alive with some exciting carnival tunes. Notting hill carnival culminated with a promise to come back stronger next year and bring in all the tourists who just love to visit it each year.
