These pirates used to celebrates their festival known as Caymans National festival.

This festival is celebrating on Caymans Island from Nov10-20 which is 34th annual Pirates Week. This journey of eleven days on Caymans Island is filled with music,games,competitions, delicious food and drink along with It glittering parade, events performed by street dancer’s and sports events are also included in that. They start this festival with steel pan competition along with fireworks which grab more spectators. This festival also includes competetition of pirate’s costumes along with crowning of festival Queen. This ceremony begins in George Town on Saturday where 2 old time sailing vessels are loaded with pirates sail into the harbor for pirate invasion. Thousands of spectators are present in this festival as they hoping to find something new this year.

This festival is fun loving for kids and their families because they will continuously enjoy for 10 days with many events endlessly. People are having great fun in carnival because at this time they leave their tension behind and enjoy the festival in good mood.

It also includes live music, glittering parade, delicious food and various events performed by street dancers. Fireworks are important part in it because they used to start their festival by firework along with some special pirate song which is continued for 11 days. The latest version of this extravagant event is underway at the Cayman Islands. This gala event which commenced on November 12th will entertain all till November22nd 2009. The brilliant fireworks and the Caribbean dance which marked the beginning of the event was a wonderful spectacle for all present. The song competition and the Pirates Ashore were treats for all the visitors who have gathered to view this spectacle of colors and wonderful displays.

With the street parade and the street dance finales lined up all can hope to get a real fun time at the Pirates Week. The Children’s Fun Fair at Nov 15th day meant that the younger crowd had their share of fun with the great food and the magnificent costumes mixed with some great dancing moves. The Heritage Days in this special island during the week are the best way to become one with the traditional art. Thursday Nov 12th will see pre –pirates parties

Friday, Nov 13th will see many events with the Pirates Costume Competition, fireworks, National Song Competition and street dance.

Sunday, Nov 15th will have two exciting activities for both kids and adults. While the kids can have fun at the Children Fun Day, the adults can get some adventure at the Underwater Treasure Hunt.

Friday, Nov 20th will see the bands competing in the Steel Band Competition.

Saturday, Nov 21st will see a couple of boat races, fireworks and the Street Dance Finale.

Sunday, Nov 22nd will be the day when this 11 day extravaganza will conclude with the Pirates week run and the Darts Tournament.
