One of the most eagerly awaited events of the year is the Rio carnival which makes all the carnival lovers forget everything around and just immerse themselves in the festive spirit. The carnival 2010 at Rio will enthrall millions with the Grand Parade at the Sambodromo. This event will be held on February 14th and February 15th and will feature the best of samba schools. These two nights are the soul of the carnival at Rio. But there are other parades too which keep carnival revelers busy with their colorful costumes and special samba moves. The second most awaited parade is the Champion’s Parade on 20th February with the best of samba schools in all their splendor and marvel.
The Rio carnival provides a platform for not only the best samba schools but even the base schools get a chance to show their talent as a part of the celebrations. All the parades have thousands of participants who practice regularly to perfect all their songs and moves. Designing a dance takes lots of practice and all the participants showcase their best at the Rio carnival.
