Tampa Bay Caribbean Carnival 2009
In Tampa, Florida, near Petersburg life will come to a standstill on 13th and 14th June, 2009. All roads will lead to Vinoy Park which hosts the carnival at Tampa.
Replete with a thorough Caribbean touch, music would be multi-colored with calypso, reggae and rap mixed with each other. Renditions by power packed groups as well as top artists will get top honors. Named Gilberto Santa Rosa, the carnival part on 13th at Vinoy Park will be special; rest assured.

There would a fusion of food from all quarters as North and South America converge in Tampa to enjoy wholesome entertainment. The masquerade party on Sunday will bring the event to a close. But not before some high voltage drama unfolds in the meantime. There would be music here, there, everywhere on these two days as the Bay City soaks the atmosphere.
The carnival is in its 17th year, and has been steadily mapping popularity charts every year on. Hot DJs and their blinding musical collections set the stage for real rapture as crowds erupt. “Wine, women and ways”, the axiom may have come out of carnival spirits; who knows.
Stylish concerts will end the proceedings both days. Leading artists join the stage and make it theirs. There is an after event party on the 13th at another venue than Vinoy Park. But the attendance is expected not to falter, nor should the mood.

Otherwise a very serene city, Tampa shows its wild side on these two days. The theme this year is “Anyway Florida”, aptly named to suit the scene.
