In year 2011 Carnival of Venice would be from 26 February Saturday till 8 March Tuesday but could work future year by knowing that this begins on Fridays or Saturdays and runs for 1 and half weeks until end on Mardi Gras Tuesday. The Venice is in huge demand with the tourists whatever period of year but peak summer seasons and Venice Carnival seasons are most popular time. If you are planning to go along to Carnival of Venice then you should book travel arrangements and the accommodation very early as possible.

There are 2 airports that serve Venice area – the Treviso Airport and the Marco Polo Airport. Treviso Airport is best for the cheaper flights to the Venice but unless want longer transfer time you should be better booking flight to the Marco Polo Airport. From airport you could take water taxi to historic centre of the Venice and arrives in style.
